10 Candidates For The PFA Young Player Of The Year Award

3. Aaron Ramsey

The 2013/2014 season has seen Aaron Ramsey prove all of his doubters wrong and shown all of the promise which made him such a hot prospect two years ago. After suffering a broken leg from a disgusting tackle in 2010, Ramsay struggled to physically and mentally return from the injury, prompting pundits and fans alike to believe that he would never be able to fulfil the promise he had shown before the injury. However, eight goals from central midfield saw Ramsay voted as Arsenal's player of the month for the first four months of the season. Performances this season have shown that Ramsay is an incredibly talented player, with a strong will that can overcome a career threatening injury and silence all critics. Verdict Had this award been given out in November, then the trophy would have Aaron Ramsey's name on it. However, injury has once again blighted the career of the youngster, with a twice recurring thigh injury side lining him for three months. Missing a large amount of the season will surely count against Ramsey when votes are cast for the award.
