Chelsea have been linked with a move for the Brazilian striker ever since last May. They got as far as
holding talks with the player and at one point even agreed a £38 million deal with Porto for his transfer.* However, the deal failed to materialise and just months later the forward left Porto and signed for Russian side Zenit St Petersburg for £32 million.** The 26 year-old signed a five-year contract with the club, and will definitely not be moving to Stamford Bridge any time soon.
