10 Chelsea Transfers That Definitely Won’t Happen

8. Theo Walcott

Walcott Winger Theo Walcott has been tipped with a move away from the Emirates ever since August last year when news surfaced* that the England international had stalled on signing a new contract with the club, having entered the final year of his current deal. Since then, his has become the most enduring "will he won't he" transfer saga of the season. Manager Arsene Wenger risked the prospect of losing yet another of his star players after last summer's departure of Robin van Persie, and Chelsea and Manchester United were two clubs said to be interested in the winger. But it is now widely believed that the player will remain with Arsenal and put pen to paper on a new five-year, £75,000-per-week deal which will be finalised before the January window slams shut.** Source(s): * Daily Mail, ** Mail Online
