10 Craziest Boxing Press Conferences
5. Wladimir Klitschko Vs. Tyson Fury
To buck the trend of physical altercations in this list, this entry details the time Wladimir Klitschko learned just how batsh*t crazy Tyson Fury really is. In September 2015, Klitschko sat in front of the press in the Brentford hotel ballroom - awaiting the arrival of his opponent to promote their upcoming undisputed heavyweight title fight in Dusseldorf. Despite the Ukrainian's trademark cool demeanour, nothing could have prepared him for what happened next.
As the press gathered outside in anticipation of Fury's arrival, a yellow Lamborghini pulled up to the curb, from which Fury emerged wearing a replica Batman outfit - from Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight series. The 6'9" man mountain then entered the ballroom to a chorus of laughter, jogged a lap around the room, before taking his seat at the top table.
But the circus didn't end there, Fury's younger cousin (Hugie Fury) approached the fighters dressed as the Joker, which prompted Tyson Fury to leapfrog the table and tackle him to the floor to complete the pantomime. The only thing that baffled everyone more than this stunt was the result of the match - with Fury defeating Klitschko on points and ending his 22 fight unbeaten streak.
