10 Dangers Daniel Cormier Poses To Jon Jones

9. His Experience Against Heavyweights

http://youtu.be/yXHw7kbNPds Jones may not weigh as heavy as a heavyweight, but he certainly has the size and strength advantage in all of his bouts. Those advantages propelled him to dominating past opponents such as Mauricio €œShogun€ Rua and Chael Sonnen. That won€™t be the case here, as he faces someone who used to compete as a heavyweight. This isn€™t a former middleweight like Vitor Belfort or Sonnen. This isn€™t someone who is notorious for having poor cardio like Rampage Jackson or Shogun. Cormier is the complete package, as a mixed martial artist. His experience at heavyweight facing taller opponents should benefit him greatly. His knockout of Antonio Silva was a breakout moment in proving his worth as a heavyweight. It was a major upset, considering Silva is six foot four and has a reach of 82 inches. Cormier knocked him out and the size advantage never materialized. The same goes for Josh Barnett and Frank Mir, who are both six foot three in height. Experience is always crucial, especially in title fights. His track record has been outstanding in dominating four current top ten heavyweights.
