10 Dangers Daniel Cormier Poses To Jon Jones

5. Underrated Striking

http://youtu.be/OZLjdu9QFJ4 It€™s well documented that Cormier isn€™t a knockout machine. That doesn€™t negate the fact that he still hits hard and his striking has evolved. In previous fights, he's thrown high kicks and his boxing has become more crisp. Some may fail to remember that, due to taking down Dan Henderson at will. This goes back to his outstanding fight IQ, where he knows he could be in danger trading punches with Henderson. Why not take down a much smaller opponent and impose your will on top? I€™m confident that will see Cormier forced to stand-and-trade more. It will be difficult to deal with Jones reach advantage, but he changes levels very efficiently. In his victory over Roy Nelson, Cormier's elusiveness and versatility was showcased. We€™ve seen Jones demoralize his opponents, who were either slow as strikers (Jackson, Rua) or undersized at light heavyweight (Belfort, Sonnen). That won€™t be the case here with Cormier.
