Mario Balotelli was practically made for this list.

Though the Italian has matured in more recent years, Balotelli became one of the most notorious figures in world football, with his undeniable talent on the field unfortunately matched by a habit of getting into trouble away from the sport.

Balotelli would enjoy some of the best form of his career as Manchester City captured their first Premier League title in dramatic fashion in the 2011/12 season, but the Italian forward would find himself in several controversial incidents, prompting him to display the iconic "Why always me?" shirt after a goal against rivals Manchester United.

The following season Balotelli's antics appeared to begin to wear on manager Roberto Mancini, so when a training ground incident led to the pair having to be separated after almost coming to blows it was clear that Balotelli's time in Manchester had come to an end.
