10 Footballers Who Moved To China Before It Was Cool
3. Vagner Love (Shandong Luneng, 2013-2015)
Vagner Love. The man, the myth, the Football Manager legend. Famous for his wacky hairstyles and prolific goalscoring record, Love actually spent two full seasons in China. The Brazilian had amassed just shy of 200 career goals when he made a 12m switch to Shangdong Luneng from CSKA Moscow in 2013 - a landmark he would later pass with no problems at all. China proved a happy hunting ground for the striker, as he managed to amass 28 goals in just 43 games - passing 200 career goals in the process. Love rescinded his contract with the club in 2015 to allow him to join Brazilian side Corinthians, where he won the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A in his first season.
