10 Footballers You Completely Forgot Played For Liverpool
4. Jack Hobbs
Hobbs was snapped up by Liverpool after catching the eye at Lincoln City as a teenager, with plenty of expectation placed on his head following his move to Anfield.
Despite a four-year spell with the club he managed only a couple of appearances for the Reds and ultimately was never given the chances to impress on a regular basis.
Loan spells with Scunthorpe and Leicester City followed, and his form with the Foxes was enough to convince the future Premier League title winners to bring Hobbs in on a permanent deal.
From there Hobbs would have a fine career predominantly in the Championship as he impressed for both Hull City and Nottingham Forest and remained a regular fixture in the second tier for a number of seasons.
There is nothing wrong with the career Hobbs given his success at other clubs, but it takes a long hard dig in the memory bank to picture Hobbs in a Liverpool shirt.
