10 Footballers You Completely Forgot Played For Liverpool

3. Darren Potter

Rangey midfielder Darren Potter is a well known commodity to fans of lower league football, having carved a fine career at clubs like Sheffield Wednesday and Wolves.

Over 200 appearances for the MK Dons have ensured Potter has had a superb career in the main with nothing to be ashamed about, but it's easy to forget his actually made his start with Liverpool.

He never made a Premier League appearance but can look back fondly on being a feature of the Liverpool side which so famously won the Champions League back in 2005 as they produced their famous comeback against AC Milan.

Potter only made a handful of appearances in the red of Liverpool after coming through the academy and despite never quite making it for the Premier League giants, he can still be proud of a very astute career in the game.
