10 Footballers You Completely Forgot Signed For Chelsea

6. Yossi Benayoun

There's no doubting the talent that little Israeli midfielder Yossi Benayoun had in his locker.

Both his spells with West Ham and then Liverpool were a roaring success and he scored some of the finest individual goals of that time period.

It was little surprise then to see him land a move to Chelsea in 2010, with the Blues looking to add some spark to a squad which was in danger of falling behind the likes of big spending Man City.

Sadly for Benayoun, his first season was a bit of a write off. An achilles injury robbed him of most of the campaign, and the following two seasons were spent away from Stamford Bridge with Arsenal and then West Ham.

In a time when Chelsea have had some of the best and most memorable attacking midfield players grace the Stamford Bridge pitch, Benayoun is largely forgotten about.

Remarkably, the now 39-year-old was still playing in his homeland with Beitar Jerusalem in 2019.
