10 Footballers You Completely Forgot Signed For Chelsea
4. Fabio Borini
Italian international Borini is best remembered for his spells in England with the likes of Sunderland and Liverpool.
At Sunderland in particular he was a popular and passionate player who scored some vital goals, including one at rivals Newcastle which endeared him to Black Cats fans forever.
His spell at Liverpool was quite the opposite, and you can say similar about his time at Chelsea, a spell which is largely forgotten about.
Borini made the bold move to Stamford Bridge as a youngster from Italian side Bologna back in 2007. From here, he worked his way through the reserves in impressive fashion before eventually being given a chance in the League Cup and Europa League.
As things would pan out, that was as good as it got for Borini with the Blues.
A loan spell with Swansea City earned him a permanent move back home before he made his name in a loan spell with Roma.
Most remember Borini's time in the Premier League - just not his time with Chelsea.
