10 Footballers You Totally Forgot Played For England

9. Matt Jarvis

By the time 2011 rolled around, most Wolves fans were wondering if they'd ever have an England international again. The last one had been Steve Bull way back in 1990 and there hadn't been too many contenders since. Over twenty years had passed since the heady days when their hometown hero had been part of Bobby Robson's much feted Italia 1990 squad.

Their prayers were answered when Matt Jarvis was plucked from the Midlands side by Fabio Capello that March for the international squad to face Wales in a Euro 2012 qualifier and Ghana in a friendly. Jarvis didn't make the matchday squad in the home nations derby but was used as a substitute against the African side. Coming on in the 69th minute as a replacement for Jack Wilshire he didn't get the chance to make much of an impression, watching Asamoah Gyan equalise in the dying moments before the match came to a close.
