10 Former Players Birmingham City Could Do With Now
8. Jordan Mutch
Jordan Mutch may not have settled at QPR since his summer move from Cardiff City, but the 22 year old midfielder was once an important member of the Birmingham City set-up following the clubs relegation in 2011. Having been with the club since signing as a 15 year old schoolboy, Mutch had to wait until a League Cup game in August 2008 to make his debut as a 16 year old - becoming Birminghams second-youngest debutant of all time in the process. He would have to wait until the clubs 10/11 season in the Premier League to be granted his first league appearances, featuring on three occasions, before establishing himself as a regular in the Championship the following season. The 19 year old Mutch would play a total of 29 times in all competitions that season, before tying up a switch to Cardiff City the following summer. He subsequently went on to prove a top signing for the Bluebirds, featuring 22 times during the promotion season before scoring seven Premier League goals in 31 games last campaign, before earning a summer move to Loftus Road.
