10 Former Players Birmingham City Could Do With Now
7. Jordon Ibe
Many are tipping Jordan Ibe to be the next Raheem Sterling. It may be slightly premature to be tipping anybody but Raheem Sterling to be the next Raheem Sterling considering he isnt yet 20 years old, but such is the low ebb in Liverpool at the moment that they have to find some bit of solace to get excited about. There is no doubt that Ibe is certainly a tantalising prospect, having excelled at Championship high-flyers Derby County so far this term. The 18 year old winger has taken the league by storm, scoring four goals in his 13 appearances so far and proving to be a thorn in the side for full-backs up and down the country. Its only a matter of time before Brendan Rodgers gives him his chance in the Liverpool set-up. It was earlier in the calendar year that he was granted his first sustained run in a first-team, with then-Birmingham boss Lee Clark taking him on loan for the final three months of the season. He would go on to make eleven appearances for the Blues and was directly involved in Paul Caddis famous stoppage-time goal on the final day of the season which spared the club from the ignominy of relegation to the third tier of English football.
