6. Michu
Swansea's ace-in-the-hole for 2012-13 had an unbelieveable first season in the Premier League, bagging 18 goals, and the clubs Player of the Year awards to boot. He also helped Swansea to the League Cup title, and was, for many people, the season's outstanding player. He is, however, a midfielder primarily. Only one midfielder had ever won the Golden Boot (Cristiano Ronaldo, in 2007-8), and with club record signing Wilfred Bony now installed up front, there's a reasonable chance his goal tally will be hampered this time out.
