At just 27 years of age, 'Thug' Rose Namajunas is already an all-time great. The talented strawweight has been practicing martial arts since she was a child and has gone on to become one of the best fighters in MMA.

Her elite striking and crafty submission game have helped her earn victories over top contenders like Tecia Torres, Paige VanZant, and Michelle Waterson.

In November of 2017, Namajunas shocked the world by defeating women's strawweight G.O.A.T. Joanna Jedrzejczyk via TKO in the very first round, to capture the title. Roughly five months later, she would defend the UFC Women's Strawweight Championship against Jedrzejczyk in a rematch at UFC 223. Namajunas recently lost the strap to Jessica Andrade at UFC 237, in a fight she was winning handily, before ultimately being dropped on her head and rendered unconscious.

She has beaten Jedrzejczyk twice and managed to capture UFC gold in her mid-twenties, which are very impressive accomplishments. However, after the Andrade fight, Namajunas seemed uncertain regarding her future in the sport. Despite her accomplishments, the Milwaukee native is just now entering her prime. Assuming she does decide to continue her career, the 8-4 strawweight has a very bright future.
