2. Steve Bruce (Hull City)

Born in Corbridge, Northumberland, Steve Bruce grew up as diehard Newcastle United supporter - but he never played for his boyhood club, instead representing Gillingham, Norwich City, Birmingham City, Sheffield United and, most-famously, Manchester United. As well as being relegated by Newcastle, along with his son Alex, while at Birmingham City in April 2006, Bruce also famously managed the Magpies' bitter North-East rivals Sunderland between 2009 and 2011. Heckled every time he steps foot in St James' Park, and forced to endlessly endure chants of "Steve Bruce - He's Got A Big Fat Head", the former centre-back was not shown the love he so dearly desired from the Toon faithful since he was a little boy. Having turned down the Newcastle job already back in 2004 and 2006, Bruce admitted it was something he partially regretted and he always wanted to do. So, on top of the fact he may want to stick two fingers up at the Geordies who have mercilessly mocked him in recent years, Bruce may also see Newcastle's relegation as an opportunity - as it may be the only way he will ever get the Magpies job himself...
