10 Hardest Man To Ever Play For Spurs

6. Terry Naylor

Terry "Nutty" Naylor - also known as "Meathook" - had a couple of nicknames that spoke for themselves. He was a full back with a tough and uncompromising style of play and it was the Spurs faithful who gave him the "Meathook" nickname as a result (his team-mates gave him the lesser-known "Nutty" name). Full backs generally weren't considered to be hard players - it was usually those who played in the middle of the pitch - so this was quite unprecedented. Although not one of the better known players from Spurs history, he actually had a hugely fruitful and long career with the club between 1969 and 1979 and he managed to stand out as a hard man in an era that was a particularly renowned for them. He was a member of two UEFA Cup Final squads and played in the 1994 loss to Feyenoord.
