10 Hardest Men That Ever Played For Arsenal

6. Steve Bould

Matthew Ashton/EMPICS SportMatthew Ashton/EMPICS SportIf ever the term no nonsense defender could be used to describe a player, then Steve Bould would surely be the most apt description. Bould spent over a decade at Arsenal, winning four league titles and two FA Cups, representing the club 372 times. Bould formed a formidable back four while at Arsenal. Playing alongside Nigel Winterburn, Tony Adams and Lee Dixon, the centre back and his team-mates enjoyed countless cleansheets. It is no coincidence that €˜1-0 to the Arsenal€™ became a regular chant and scoreline during Bould€™s time at Highbury. Never one to shy away from a tackle and happy to mix it with any striker, Bould€™s reputation as an enforcer remained throughout his career. Having first worked with the youth setup, Bould is now the assistant manager at Arsenal. No doubt he will be installing some of his own defensive qualities and beliefs in the Gunners€™ current back four.
