10 Hardest Men Who Ever Played For Everton

1. Duncan Ferguson

You won€™t find many tougher customers in football than Duncan Ferguson, but don€™t take my word for it, just ask anyone who€™s ever gotten on the wrong side of the formidable Scot. As John McStay, Fredi Bobic, Thomas Hitzlsperger, Stefan Freund, Hermann Hreidarsson, Paul Ince, and those two hapless burglars who broke into his home will testify, you don€™t mess with Big Dunc. Although hot-headed Ferguson was always a red card risk and a man who's done prison time, he quickly gained hero status at Goodison following his arrival from Rangers in 1994, winning fans over with the kind of fiery passion they€™d rarely seen before. Sure, his play style occasionally bordered on assault, but you won't find many who love the club like he does. Duncan Disorderly made more than 200 appearances for Everton across two spells at the club, with a brief stint at Newcastle United sandwiched in between. His love affair with the Toffees shows no sign of ending as he currently serves as part of Roberto Martinez's coaching staff.
