1. Terry Hurlock
Woe betide anybody who unfortunately ended up in the path of an angry Terry Hurlock. The Englishman's wild hairstyle and rock-like features made him an instantly intimidating sight. Never the most proficient footballer as such, Hurlock didn't need to be. His strengths were being harder than a brick wall, and instilling a real sense of fear into opponents on the pitch. Signed from Millwall in 1990, the midfielder was tailor-made for the game in Scotland. Previously, during his time at Millwall, Hurlock's team mates goaded him about Vinnie Jones being tougher than he was. Millwall were set to play Wimbledon in an upcoming match, and big Terry took the bait. In front of a pub full of frightened onlookers, he ripped a door clean off its hinges with his hands. There were no incidents like that at Rangers, but Hurlock had already earned a reputation down South. Word of mouth had spread, and players in Scotland knew that the Londoner was not one to be trifled with. On the pitch, Hurlock amassed a then-record number of disciplinary points from the Scottish FA for continually being booked and getting into trouble with referees. He was only at Rangers for one season, which shows just how much of a battler Terry Hurlock was.
