10 Most Heartbreaking Spurs Premier League Defeats

10. Manchester United 0-0 Spurs

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaBZDhDiUsM Date: Tuesday the 4th of January, 2005. Venue: Old Trafford. Okay, let's get this one out of the way first and make one thing clear - we're very ware that this wasn't a defeat - but by God did it feel like one for Spurs and their fans, as the were brutally robbed of two points. Having not won at Old Trafford since 1989, the ball fell to Portuguese midfielder Pedro Mendes near the halfway line in the very last minute. His fifty yard lob fell in to the hands of Roy Carroll, who fumbled the ball a good yard over the line. Referee Mark Clattenburg and his assistant Rob Lewis were too far away to see and allowed play to carry on. Spurs came away from Old Trafford with a point - which would usually be great - but they were obviously sorely disappointed.
