5. Spurs 4-5 Arsenal

Spurs have to admit that they've been inferior to Arsenal for the majority of the Premier League era. After finishing above their bitter North London rivals in the inaugural season, they've pretty much been second-best since - but it's still heartbreaking to lose against them and this match in particular emphasised that. It was the season Arsenal went unbeaten in the league and became known as the "invincibles" - but Spurs gave them one hell of a fright. Noureddine Naybet gave Spurs the lead in the first half, before Thierry Henry responded in injury time. Lauren and Patrick Vieira quickly put Arsenal 3-1 up in the second half, before Jermain Defoe's reply, but Freddie Ljungberg restored the two goal cushion. Ledley King pulled another back before Robert Pires scored with nine minutes to go. Frederic Kanoute scored with two minutes left on the clock, but it wasn't enough, as a hard-fought and high-scoring game ended with Spurs getting nothing from it.
