10 Highest Paid Fighters At UFC 178

8. Yoel Romero

The "Soldier of God" earned $58,000 in a highly controversial knockout win over Tim Kennedy at UFC 178. Romero came out late to answer the bell in the third round, and Kennedy has said he intends to challenge the outcome, as Romero had been beat up at the end of the second, and by delaying, got extra time to recover. A change in the result is unlikely, but you have to feel for Kennedy. However, it's hard to feel too bad for either men: the fight won Fight of the Night honours, which means an extra $50,000 will go to Romero on top of the $58,000 he picked up in the victory.
