Anzhi's chairman Suleiman Kerimov the third Russian billionaire to have cropped up on this list invested a huge amount of money to manufacture Russia's best team by cherry-picking some of the best talent in Europe. Having won the Champions League three times at two different teams, Eto'o is likely going to be remembered as the greatest African player to have ever kicked a ball, defined by his high work rate, aggression and natural goal scoring ability. Interestingly in August 2014 Kerimov decided to significantly downscale his financial commitment to the club, resulting in the loss of their best talent. It was these events that lead to his signing with Chelsea last summer for a significant pay cut.
