10 Huge Boxing Upsets Nobody Expected To See

4. George Foreman Defeats Michael Moorer

There's something magical about a boxer coming back from the brink and winning a huge bout, and that's exactly what the legendary George Foreman did here.

The then 45-year-old was building himself back into the title scene after coming out of retirement, and despite a few heavy losses - including a title shot at Evander Holyfield - Foreman secured a bout with unbeaten young star Michael Moorer in 1994.

Moorer came in to the fight with an unblemished 35-0 record, but came undone as the fight took a dramatic twist in an explosive tenth round.

Despite slipping away for most of the fight, Moorer caught a shot to the body from Foreman which completely rocked him. That one shot gave Foreman the confidence to come forward, and in one crushing blow to the jaw, Foreman floored his young opponent.

Remarkably, Moorer could not answer the referee's count of ten and a new champion was crowned in the heavyweight division.

This fight remains one of the most shocking upsets of all time, and goes to show that you can't put a price on experience sometimes.
