With the Euros just around the corner, Lyon recently opened their new stadium in time to join the party. So often these days, those who win the rights to hold the big international events pile the pounds into the project to try to create a brand-spanking new arena that will wow the onlooking world. Stade des Lumieres - with a capacity of 59,000 - is set to host six fixtures in this year's competition, but it's not just our pals across the Channel who are providing us with new grounds to visit. Whether they were built for other purposes, or solely for the beautiful game, many clubs are replacing their old homes for bigger and better models. Gone are the days of big clubs being sentimental. History is a thing of the past and new grounds are popping up on a regular basis. In the Premier League alone, recent times have witnessed Arsenal, Sunderland, Manchester City and soon to be West Ham just to name a few leaving their old haunts for pastures new. So whose new hunting ground is going to become a fortress? Which is likely to intimidate any travelling teams, and who just needed to increase their revenue?
