7. 1 - The Magpies Have Lost Just One Of Their Last 11 Home Matches Against The Hammers
Another positive for Newcastle is the fact that they actually have a pretty good home record against West Ham - losing just one of their last 11 games against the east Londoners at St James' Park. Unfortunately that defeat came as recently as November 2012 when ex-Newcastle captain Kevin Nolan scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory for the Hammers - something the Magpies will hope he doesn't repeat this weekend. In those last 11 meetings on Tyneside, Newcastle have won five, drawn five and lost just once - although they have triumphed in just one of the last five, a 5-0 victory in January 2011 (when Leon Best bagged a hat-trick, Peter Lovenkrands scored and Nolan actually netted for the Magpies on this occasion). The odds of a 5-0 win for Newcastle on Sunday? That would be 80-1 (with Paddy Power)...
