10 Key Players To Watch In The Premier League This Season

7. Ravel Morrison

A victim of his own boisterous attitude and volatile temperament, Manchester United€™s former youth starlet€™s career is teetering on the brink. The 21 year old Mancunian was shipped out of his hometown by Sir Alex Ferguson in 2012, and advised to €˜start a new life€™ following a spate of gang-related controversies that had threatened to curtail a promising career. Morrison€™s natural ability is matched only by the length of his rap sheet, underlining the problems surrounding his stop-start career. However, underneath the chaotic and disruptive outer shell lies a very talented footballer, who lit him the Championship in his 15 games on loan from West Ham at cross-city neighbours QPR last season. Back at West Ham for the upcoming season, it will be interesting to see where he features in Allardyce€™s plans. On his day, Morrison is a mouth-watering and tantalizing prospect, sumptuously and effortlessly gliding past defenders, but then on his off days, he can appear moody, sulky and anonymous.

He has made progress since his days as a disruptive youth at Manchester United, but if he can sort out the attitude, it will be interesting to see just what kind of player West Ham currently have on their hands. Having recently posted a cryptic Twitter message, casting doubts over his West Ham future, it will be interesting to see where he ends up come September 1st. He impressed at Loftus Road, so Harry Redknapp€™s side could be potential suitors, with the side having become exasperated with want-away star Adel Taarabt.

Also, don€™t be surprised if Alan Pardew enters the market once more for the player he tried to sign two years ago.
