10 Lengthiest Bans In Newcastle United History

3. NCJ Media - 14 Months

Journalists from the Newcastle Evening Chronicle, The Journal and The Sunday Sun were barred from the press box at Newcastle home games and press conferences from October 2013 - December 2014. This was after United deemed the coverage of certain protest marches against owner Mike Ashley unfair and biased. Since the ban was lifted in December, many believe that Newcastle United has some sort of creative control over NCJ Media's titles after their incessant coverage of John Carver and lack of outright criticism of the club. Lee Ryder (pictured) and his fellow journalists have vehemently denied this claim.
