8. Thiago Tavares Is Looking Strong

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bmd3ofphKro A much needed finish was given to the crowd in Maine in the second round of Tavares vs. Peralta when Thiago Tavares submitted Robbie Peralta by a rear-naked choke in the second round of their bout (a round round earlier than we predicted he would sink in the submission). It was the opening fight of the main card, and the second submission in a row for Tavares, in his debut at featherweight. Tavares looks like he could be a real threat at featherweight, and a couple more fights will give us a much clearer picture of where he stands in the division. For now, Tavares should be very happy with his performance, and he really got the crowd in Maine going.
