10 Lessons Learned From UFC Fight Night: Bader vs. St. Preux

5. Tim Boetsch Just Shocked Us - Again

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nclyT5b-k0Q It's deja vu all over again - and two paragraphs of text in this entry were just instantly deleted. I'm stealing the deja vu comment from the UFC Fight Night announce team of Kenny Florian and Jon Anik, but they're on-point: Tim Boetsch unleashed a left hook towards Brad Tavares that caught him running into the punch, and grabbed a win in a match that he was unquestionably losing to that point. As a result, Boetsch shocks us yet again, just as he shocked us with a very similar punch a couple of years back against Yushin Okami. He also manages to save his spot in the middleweight division, and is probably breathing a huge sigh of relief right now. Once again, we learn that anyone has a puncher's chance in the UFC, and Boetsch is a prime example of it. Good for Boetsch, and as for Brad Tavares, who was controlling the fight, well it won't set him back too much; he'll likely get a decent match-up next time out after this solid effort, even though he's on a two-fight losing streak now.
