10 Lessons Learned From UFC 177

2. The Co-Main Event Was What We Thought It Would Be

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThjmgSjWuMA Tony Ferguson vs. Danny Castillo was never a valid co-main event. We knew it would be competitive. We knew it would be action packed. Worth paying money for? Well maybe if it was the second fight on the card, or even the middle fight. A co-main? Not really. Still, it was active and entertaining. Lets just hope the UFC doesn't try to sell us a fight like this as a co-main event again. They went the distance, and Castillo finished strong with an arm-triangle attempt, but it was Ferguson who picked up the win (to the displeasure of the live crowd).
