10 Liverpool Players Who Should Fear For Their Future
3. Kolo Toure
How would one sum up Kolo Toures time at Anfield? There is no question that Liverpool supporters still get heart palpitations when the Ivorian tries to clear a bouncing ball first-time, but at the same time Toure has morphed into a composed, solid defender when needed such as last week at the Santiago Bernabeu. There were times last season where he played his way into the team with a series of assured performances, and just as swiftly removed himself from the starting XI due to a number of comical howlers, such as forfeiting a crucial two points by passing the ball straight to an opponent at the Hawthorns in February. The former Arsenal centre-half will be 34 years old in March, and he isnt getting any quicker. His contract is due to expire next summer, and Brendan Rodgers will have to make a decision on his future. The Ivorian has played one minute of Premier League football this season, so his long-term prospects at the club certainly look bleak. Should the 33 year old move on next summer, Liverpool supporters will miss his enthusiasm and morale, but at least they will be able to breathe slightly easier when their back-line is decimated with injuries a slightly less unpredictable centre-half is drafted in.

Have made a significantly insignificant playing career out of receiving several slaps around the head for not passing the ball.
