10 Major Football Transfers That Could Still Happen This Summer

9. Christian Eriksen Leaving Spurs

Spurs playmaker Christian Eriksen is a player who would walk straight into the starting XI of pretty much 99% of the teams in world football.

In that case, then, why would Tottenham ever consider letting such a fantastic player leave this summer?

The reason for that is down to the fact that the Denmark international is now into the final 12 months of his current deal - meaning he can leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for free next June.

If recent reports are to be believed, Spurs would be prepared to accept an offer in the region of £65 million to allow the former Ajax player to move to pastures new. Those same reports claim that Real Madrid and Manchester United are just two of the teams to have showed an interest in Eriksen.

Of course, given the two teams mentioned there, the future of Christian Eriksen could come down to whether or not Paul Pogba ends up staying at United or moving to Los Blancos.
