He may have made it public knowledge that he's a life-long Arsenal fan who has only ever dreamt of playing for The Gunners, but could Wilfried Zaha's allegiance soon change to Everton?

Arsenal have now signed Nicolas Pepe to add a new dimension to their attacking play, and so Zaha's move to The Emirates has been scuppered. That doesn't completely rule out the forward leaving Crystal Palace over the next few days, though.

The main stumbling block to any move for Zaha remains Crystal Palace's reported £80 million valuation of the player - with Everton previously having offered £55 million and the possibility of exchanging some players in their pursuit of the Ivory Coast international.

For Zaha's part, he's clearly keen to depart Selhurst Park this summer and told Palace that at the beginning of July. That lofty price tag may make it tricky for any deal to happen, but don't rule out Everton returning with an improved offer before the transfer window closes on Thursday, August 8th - especially with Palace having shown interest in Everton duo James McCarthy and Cenk Tosun.
