10 Major Issues Individual Spurs Players Need To Improve
6. Roberto Soldado (Confidence)
Roberto Soldado didn't become a bad player overnight. The £26 million man was regularly scoring twenty goals a season in La Liga with Valencia and he earned international recognition in the then-all-conquering Spanish side - but he can't seem to buy a goal for Spurs in the Premier League. It's not that he isn't getting the chances (granted, he's not getting many, but they are coming to him at times), it's just that he isn't finishing the ones he does get. In fact, he's absolutely fluffing them. This isn't due to a poor finishing ability, because everyone knows he can finish - and, as such, it has to be down to confidence. Therefore, something is clearly psychologically wrong with Soldado and some kind of counselling or treatment to improve his confidence would surely reflect positively on the pitch.
