10 Man Utd Players With The Most Premier League Appearances

5. Wayne Rooney

Total Appearances: 341* Years Active: 2004-Present Is He Any Good? That's the age old question when it comes to Wayne Rooney, isn't it? He'll likely get into the top three on this list before his career at United ends, but has Rooney lived up to the astronomical standards he set himself when he was a youngster? Some would argue no - the England captain was expected to be rubbing shoulders with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo for the Ballon d'Or by now. That's not the way it has panned out, but Rooney has been a great servant who has scored a hatful of goals. He is going to be crowned England's leading goalscorer ever at some point around Euro 2016 (you would think) and he is also on course to overhaul Sir Bobby Charlton's all-time United goalscoring record of 249 in the next few years. He's not that bad, is he?
