10 Man Utd Players Who Should Fear For Their Future
5. Wilfried Zaha
''Unless Im looking at Ronaldo or Messi, Id never look at someone else and think hes better than me. Brightons manager Gus Poyet said Will Buckley is better than me, but I dont see the point of coming out with nonsense like that. - Wilfried Zaha, November 2012.
Its two years since that interview with the Crystal Palace youngster, and it would appear that his career has done a bit of a loop. Shortly after expressing his supreme confidence in that notorious interview, he was signed by Manchester United in a £12 million deal. He has made just two league appearances for the Red Devils, and is now back at Selhurst Park on loan, having endured a difficult loan spell at Cardiff City during the latter stages of last season. Back at the club where he made his name, the former England U-21 international has started just three league games for the Eagles and has failed to score since bagging a last-minute equaliser at St. James Park in August. He is hardly tearing up the Premier League this season, and with every top-flight match he struggles through, the likelihood of him succeeding at Old Trafford fades evermore. Just dont let him know that Will Buckley has started twice as many league games this season.
