10 Man Utd Players Who Should Fear For Their Future

4. Radamel Falcao

This might be a contentious one. However, one must remember how many mountains the club would have to move in order to sign Columbian superstar Radamel Falcao on a permanent deal. A feel-good factor of adrenalin was pumping throughout the club when the shock of the British transfer market was pulled off at the last minute, with Falcao arriving from Monaco on a loan deal. However, the mooted wages for a permanent deal would be skywards of £240,000 p/wk, with a reported fee of £44 million. While the club have certainly not been stringent with the purse strings this summer, one would think that once the hierarchy thought about it, they would realise just how ludicrous it sounded. Falcao will be 29 years old in three months, and there have been no signs that he is truly over the knee injury that spoiled his French affair and destroyed his World Cup ambitions. So far, he has made just four appearances for the Red Devils and found the back of the net on a sole occasion. These are not statistics that would persuade a club to part with such a gargantuan sum of money, no matter the reputation that precedes him. Unless Falcao sorts out his niggling injury problems and finds a rich vein of goalscoring form between now and the end of the season, the Old Trafford faithful could very well be bidding a reluctant €˜sayonara€™ to the former Athletico Madrid goal machine.
