10. Chris Eagles vs Everton, April 2007
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJ-EWCcxQsI Chris Eagles is currently 28 years old and is without a club, following his release from Bolton Wanderers at the end of last season. If he doesn't get snapped up soon and stay relevant, he could be in danger of slipping into 'David Bentley' territory. Prospects didn't always seem so bleak for the tricky winger, however. Indeed, seven years ago, he was celebrating on the Goodison Park turf having tucked home the fourth goal in a 4-2 win for Manchester United to push the club five points clear in the Premier League title race. Eagles was 21 years old at the time, and it was his only goal for the club during his eight year stint at Old Trafford, which included just six first team appearances, but it was certainly one to cherish. With the club locked in a tense battle with Chelsea for the league title, they still had potential banana skins left in their last four games, beginning with a tricky trip to Goodison Park. After 50 minutes, the Red Devils were trailing 2-0 to the Toffees, before O'Shea hit back just after the hour mark, before an own goal from old friend Phil Neville levelled matters, and a Wayne Rooney strike swung the pendulum back in Man United's favour. With Everton pushing for an equaliser in injury-time, Rooney sent substitute Eagles through to take on a defender, and expertly used his body as a shield to un-sight Tim Howard and to curl the ball around him into the corner of the net.
