10 Miracles Spurs Need To Save Their Season

9. The Dead Wood Is Sold In January

A problem Spurs always seem to have is an abundance of players who are obviously either never going to play or again or who simply aren't good enough to elevate the team to where they want to be. At the moment, you'd have to say those players are the likes of Emmanuel Adebayor (inconsistent, lazy and his head is in a very weird place at the moment), Paulinho (simply not good enough for the Premier League and at an age where he's not going to get much better), Kyle Naughton (has never really excelled and will be superfluous once DeAndre Yedlin arrives) and Benoit Assou Ekotto (is obviously never going to play for the club again), as well as a few more. If they can get rid of those and replace them with just a couple of players who are going to make a difference, that would be good progress.
