A major problem at Spurs is that a number of high profile, expensive stars simply aren't performing to the levels required of them or the levels they are capable of performing at. Erik Lamela, Roberto Soldado, Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele, Federico Fazio and Andros Townsend stand out as just some of the prime examples of players who are so much better than their showings in a Spurs shirt would suggest. It is those players who need to step up and play to the levels they are capable of because, if that was to happen, Spurs could actually be a very dominant force in English football.
