For a manager who loves to work with so many top-class footballers, he should really have a bit more foresight when it comes to who he irks. It€™s no surprise that he fell out with half of the Real Madrid squad during his time at the Bernabeu - one his only blotches in football management - with his soured relationship with the talismanic Cristiano Ronaldo becoming a sub-plot of its€™ own. The Ronaldo chapter didn€™t start in Spain, however. Indeed, it has pages beginning during their time in England, when Mourinho was a cocky, young thing at Chelsea and Ronaldo was - well, the same, only picking up a pay-cheque from Manchester United instead.
