10 Most Disappointing Players Of World Cup 2018's Group Stage
5. Robert Lewandowski
He's one of Poland's greatest ever players and scored an astonishing 16 goals in qualifying, but Robert Lewandowski had a pretty poor World Cup in Russia. Poland did score two goals at the tournament but Lewandowski wasn't really involved in either of them. In fact, his tournament was mostly notable for a couple of major misses.
Against Colombia, he had a chance to even the game up at 1-1 but shot straight at the keeper. Then, in the final game against Japan, he received a great pass from Kamil Grosicki but hit his shot over the bar when it seemed easier to score.
This was quite possibly the 29 year old's last World Cup but he was pretty anonymous for all of it, completely unable to take his club form onto the international stage. He scored 41 goals in all competitions for Bayern Munich last season but just couldn't get going at the 2018 World Cup.
