10 Most Disappointing Premier League Players Of 2014/15 (So Far)

4. Danny Welbeck

When Welbeck left United to join Arsenal on Transfer Deadline Day last summer, it divided opinion. Some felt it proved that his talented was limited, given United's willingness to let him leave, while others thought the England international would thrive at the Emirates, showing exactly what his old employers were missing in the process. So far, the 24-year-old falls into the former of those categories. He has been exactly what many people thought he would be at Arsenal, which is basically a pretty talented footballer who will score you some goals but also miss sitters, and who has a decent work-rate, albeit overrated, and a lack of technical ability against the truly top sides. Welbeck has managed just four goals in 16 Arsenal appearances in the league, which is a poor return regardless of whether he's always been deployed centrally or not, and while there are days when he can look very dangerous, he is nowhere near consistent enough. He is a player who seems immune to criticism at times, and his Gunners career has been very forgettable so far.
