10 Most Embarrassing Old Firm European Nights

2. Rangers 1-4 Unirea Urziceni (October 2009)

Rangers found out about Unirea Urziceni fairly quickly in this Champions League group stage tie, where they were utterly destroyed by the Romanian side in front of their own fans at Ibrox. Pedro Mendes even gave the home side the lead two minutes in with most expecting Rangers to sail to victory. The lead lasted half an hour until Marius Bilasco guided the ball home from close ranger. The Gers then missed a chance to go ahead when Steven Davis had his penalty saved. The rest of the game was a nightmare for Rangers as Kyle Lafferty accidentally beat his own keeper from an Unirea corner. Lee McCulloch then decided to join in the fun and sent a bullet header past the helpless Allan McGregor, who was presumably sick of his teammates at this point. Not content with this, Steven Naismith decided to divert an opposition free kick into his own goal, leaving McGregor baffled and the Rangers fans livid. A night to forget for Glasgow's West End.
