10 Most Jaw-Dropping UFC Knockouts No One Saw Coming

7. Junior dos Santos vs Fabricio Werdum

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTckQP6PhDk JDS had just six career wins prior to the UFC, all of which had come in the first round, but lining up against heavyweight contender Fabricio Werdum seemed a tall order for Cigano's debut in the premier league of MMA, but boy was we wrong. Werdum had already experienced the spotlight of three UFC pay-per-view events in his career and as the overwhelming favourite at UFC 90, it was expected Werdum would be close to a title shot with a win over dos Santos. But with little over 1 minute gone in the first round, Werdum looked to land an overhand right, ducking his head on the follow through. JDS capitalised and swung a right uppercut with every ounce he had, connecting clean on Werdum's jaw, the lights went out and stayed out. The win for dos Santos was voted FIGHT! Magazine's upset of the year (2008) and it signalled the dawn of his onslaught, as he broke the UFC record for consecutive wins in the heavyweight division on his way to becoming UFC champion in 2011.
