3. Matt Serra vs Georges St-Pierre
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qtOBewVfqY One of the most overused phrases in any sport is 'the greatest', however in the case of Canadian superstar Georges St-Pierre, the greatest welterweight ever certainly applies. In 2004, a then undefeated St-Pierre took on the more experienced Matt Hughes for the vacant welterweight title, and ultimately lost due to an armbar with only one second remaining in the first round, fast forward five years and Georges received another shot at Hughes, but this time winning the title due to a knockout-of-the-night performance. Just a week earlier, Matt Serra had beaten Chris Lylte via split decision in the Ultimate Fighter 4 finale, thus setting up an eventual title shot at UFC 69. Serra was a staggering 11-1 underdog on the night, but proving once again that MMA is more unpredictable than any sport out there, The Terror scored the biggest win of his career, stopping GSP with a series of unanswered punches. Bleacher Report and Sports Illustrated labelled the event as the upset of the decade, as Serra wrote himself into the MMA Hall Of Fame.
